Losing a son to the effects of bullying is a nightmare that no parent should endure. In an effort to bring an end to this unacceptable epidemic, I have dedicated my life to bullying prevention. Having spoken to over 100,000 students from more than 100 schools, I have seen firsthand the pain that our children continue to endure on a daily basis. Realizing that professional development is the first step to ending this madness, I wholeheartedly endorse the Stand4Hope Anti-Bullying training program.

Having counseled with the President and First Lady, the U.S. Department of Edu- cation, the U.S. Department of Justice and numerous other organizations, I can state that the Stand4Hope program brings to life the best practices from our nation’s leading bullying experts in a clear, accurate and emotionally moving manner.

As a grieving parent whose child died as a direct result of a peer abuse driven bullycide I continue to be sadden, and in a constant state of disbelief regarding our educational system, and their lack of appropriate response and behavior towards peer abuse. We need to create awareness that demands accountability, and calls for action. The Stand4Hope training does that, and more. It takes a very difficult issue, and breaks it down so that anyone can understand, comprehend, and follow. As a society we have a responsibility to ensure the safety of ALL of our children! Each and every single child needs, deserves, and must be protected, and yet sadly so many are not. I for one have had enough heartache, and urge you to watch this training, own it, embrace, and use it – it may save a life!

My daughter reported cyber-bullying as well as social and physical abuse to her counselors and resource officer. Those individuals did very little to stop it. The school administrator, principal, teachers, and counselors knew she continued to be bullied on and off campus. Our school and many others have anti-bullying programs like the one by Olweus; however, I don’t believe they cover all the information that Stand4Hope does. The one our school uses certainly did not help my child. Stand4Hope Anti_Bullying Training is a powerful program covering all areas of bullying. It does it all! Adult attitudes about bullying, harassment, and cyber-bullying must change. Everyone could benefit with this terrific program as long as it is implemented and enforced!

While no program can cover every aspect of bullying, the Stand4Hope Anti-Bullying Training is head and shoulders above any other available to date. It includes every aspect of bullying and gives valuable resources to the frontline school personnel. If people will take the short time to go through this program, in its entirety, they will have a new understanding of what bullying is, has become, and leave with a usable tool on how to combat it.

Finding the balance between information, emotion, relevance and function has been elusive until the Stand4Hope training program. Unifying educators to the parents who have lost children to bullycide, Stand4Hope training is a must for anyone who plays a role in our children’s lives.
